About

We Empower, Encourage and Enlighten.

I’ve been in the counseling field professionally for seven years. I served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. I graduated from Troy University with a B.S. Psychology in 2013 and a M. S. in Counseling and Psychology in 2016. My certifications include Anger Management, Shoplifting and Theft Addiction. I am a certified Mindfulness Based Substance Abuse facilitator. My passion is to help reduce recidivism in our youth and adults. My experience has brought me in contact with many who haven't connected with their past traumas or life experiences. Some of which are why they continue to offend, become addicted or lose hope. Working in this field I have learned that we all share common ideals, beliefs and values. Within those commonalities are our approaches to how we cope. Some of us develop awesome coping techniques while others learn to thrive on survival skills. A philosophy that I apply to my life as well as counseling is taking the limits off. We create limitations sometimes by holding on to past hurts, disappointments or relationships that no longer serve us or we have grown beyond. Learning to compartmentalize and accept our limitations is a large part of growing and healing. I chose the mental health field because I like to see people prosper, grow and reach their goals. What I love most about this field is that I am capable, that we are capable.
